Thompson Carvers is Kerry and Amanda Thompson's Rangiora carving business, making pounamu, argillite and bone taonga, with commissions welcome.

About
Thompson Carvers is the whānau carving business of Kerry Thompson, of Ngāti Paoa descent, and his wife Amanda Thompson, of Ngāpuhi descent, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury. Kerry has carved for more than 20 years and is best known for his bone and jade work, while Amanda carves bone, mother of pearl and precious metal pieces.
Their pounamu and New Zealand argillite pendants, sculptures and jewellery are sold online and through galleries around the country, alongside pieces in other jades such as Canadian and Wyoming jade, which are named separately. Commissions are welcome, including pieces carved from a customer’s own family stone.
