Whekau Stone

Whekau Stone is the studio of Judah Ashton, a carver based in Nelson in Te Tau Ihu, at the top of the South Island. He carves pounamu and other hard stone, with many designs drawn from natural forms, and every piece is made by hand from start to finish. Judah takes custom commissions and wholesale orders and rebinds existing pieces. There is no public studio, so get in touch through the website or Instagram.
