Pou Creations

Pou Creations is a whānau led pounamu carving studio and gallery in the heart of Napier, founded in 2024 by Teina Marsters and Nancy Rakete-Stones. Visitors can join hands on two or three hour carving workshops where experienced carver Teina guides you through shaping, sanding, and polishing your own piece of genuine West Coast pounamu, no experience needed. The studio also stocks handcrafted taonga, custom pieces, and unique Māori art honouring whakapapa and mātauranga Māori, with educational workshops and wānanga available for schools and groups. One of the most immersive pounamu experiences in the North Island.
