Mount Souvenir Shop

Mount Souvenir Shop is a gift and souvenir shop on Maunganui Road, the main shopping street of Mount Maunganui, within easy walking distance of Main Beach and the base of Mauao. It is an official stockist of Authentic Ngāi Tahu Pounamu, so its pounamu carries Ngāi Tahu’s mark of authenticity and a traceability code that shows where the stone came from and who carved it.

Alongside pounamu jewellery and carvings, the shop stocks a wide range of New Zealand-made gifts and keepsakes, much of it locally produced. It is a convenient stop for visitors to the Mount who want a genuine piece of pounamu without travelling to the South Island, and staff are happy to help with choosing a gift.
