Traditional Jade Co.

Traditional Jade Co. is a locally owned family business of Ngāi Tahu descent, operating from their shop on Tancred Street in the heart of Hokitika since 1998. Founded by Mark and Rima, the business was passed to their daughter Caroline in 2012, with her parents still helping out and carving in the shop — keeping the craft genuinely family-led across generations. The gallery offers top quality and affordable pounamu pendants, jewellery and sculptures, and is home to one of the largest collections of raw jade on display in New Zealand. A knowledgeable and welcoming team makes this a highlight for anyone visiting the West Coast.
